Letter Font Sorting Fun Freebie

Howdy, y'all!  I am so excited to be a new member of so many talented teachers at Teaching Blog Roundup!

Here is a little about me before I get started with some letter sorting.

You may know me from my little blog Reading Toward the Stars.

I have been in the classroom for 17 years, 14 in third and fourth grades, and three as a Reading Specialist.  I enjoy watching that light bulb come on when kids really learn to read and understand what it is all about.  It has always been a passion of mine to help struggling readers become better readers.

I want to share a simple and fun way to help struggling readers become better readers.  Many times children see many different fonts when reading, and younger children have a hard time discerning those letters in different fonts.  I think it is so important for children to be able to know the letters in more than one way.

I created a set of letters with different fonts for students to use.  Here the kindergarteners are sorting out some of the letters by looking at the fonts.

You can grab a freebie sort with B/M/S by clicking {here} or on the picture below.  If you would like the entire set, you can purchase it in my Teachers Pay Teachers store by clicking {here}.

Hope your young students can use these and gain more confidence as readers!  Stay tuned next month for some more fun reading ideas!  Until then, visit my blog, Reading Toward the Stars, to get your reading fix!
